The John Boehme Award
Each season members of TRACE vote for the artist they feel has produced the most significant live work and installation at TRACE during the year. The award is named after the Canadian artist John Boehme who produced one of the most startling performances our first season 2000-2001. Boehme created a duration performance in which he drove 300 golf balls from a putting green inside the gallery into a wall of aluminium.
In recognition of John Boehmes work we have commissioned a series of golfing trophies as an award which will be presented to future artists.
