I think breath is breathing in all
of our environment, and
breathing out our sense through our bodies.
In this work, I inflate several hundred gloves with people. Once
I release an inflated glove on the floor, it mixes with many others.
Mine becomes others. Others become no ones. You can
sense other's. Its sense could be unforgettable.
Since graduating from Cardiff School of Art in 1997 Hiromi Shirais
work has been discreet and magical. She has produced numerous performance
installations in her native Japan as well as shows at the Diawa
Foundation in London, Japanese Embassy, Paris, and venues throughout
South East Asia. She recently participated in several exhibitions
in Tiawan. Sharai has also produced festivals and events in her
home city Kobe, Japan, where she is now based.
