Glyn Davies Marshall is one of the great undiscovered voices of
British performance art. An artist who combines a unique understanding
of process combined with the manipulation of objects and materials
to create strange and secretive juxtapositions of reality. His work
resonates with humour with gut wrenching pathos.
Glyn Davies Marshall has made Performance On Film for BBC2 and
regularly produces performance and installation work in Europe.
Over the last five years his work has been concerned with THE SYMBOLIC
ORDER, the language of his father and the legacy of a northern upbringing.
While abroad recently he became increasingly concerned with matters
of nationality and identity.
He would like to apologise beforehand as he is finding his research
very confusing and hard to understand. He mentions this as he has
always thought that honesty is the greatest policy.
"The Eagle Is Landing" is a piece
born from embarassment, it has been a long time since I have witnessed
THE ORDER displayed in such a precise and calculated way.
